RAS/IFRR Summer School on Haptic Interaction, 25-29 September 2006 Paris, France Through a memorandum of
understanding between IEEE Robotics and
Automation Society (RAS) and the
International Foundation of Robotics Research
(IFRR) an international summer school on
robotics was set up. Previous themes were
"Human-Robot Interaction (July 19-23, 2004,
Volterra, Italy) and "Robot Design"
(September 18-23, 2005, Tokyo, Japan). The
theme for this year's summer school is
"Haptic Interaction" and will take place in
Paris, France between September 25-29, 2006.
The summer school this year will be organized
by Professors Vincent
Hayward of McGill University and John
Hollerbach of The University of Utah. The
school is generously co-sponsored by IEEE
RAS, IFFR and other sources.
