Aqua Underwater Simulator

Abstract

The AQUA Underwater Simulator was created to run safe, high fidelity experiments on a virtual version of the AQUA robot designed at McGill University. While the use of simulation systems in both terrestrial and marine robotics is widespread, few, if any, are targeted to marine environments and provide the combination of ROS compatibility, extreme photo-realism, and hydrodynamics delivered in the AQUA Underwater Simulator.
