Subject: X-mas From: "Anne Weiss-Torjussen" Date: Sun, December 23, 2007 7:22 am To: "Paul Zsombor-Murray" Dear Wendy, Dear Paul! Again there went a year and we soon write 2008! We really hope that all is well with you and with Stewart's family and with Erica, too. May 2008 become a good year for everyone in your familily! We are sure to meet you both in Dresden and Vienna and Carinthia at least because of the ICGG 2008. (In case Paul has forgotten to register: For him there is no deadline!) Anne tells me that she wrote severeal letters, but did not dare to send them because of her poor English. Ladies are sometimes not selfconfident enough. Anyway, she tells me that I (we) have to thank you for many letters and presents. (I hope that at least Nerina has sent some words. Her son Ilario, now one year old, walks some steps with the sweet little shoes from Wendy.) I admit, I have lots of work and I am astonished that I still like it, that I still get the time to speak with my colleagues and graduates, that I still can write letters to our University managers "on demand". We have to plan the future until 2020!!! So even one can think of a joke, I try to win all the colleagues to discuss such nonsense, just for fighting against a splitting and clique-development among us mathematicians. We are "individualists" and used to work alone. Now I am together with my family. I like this, too, very much! This time we will stay in Vienna, just having a few days in Carinthia - for getting the bayby bed again: Isolde shall have her second one during the first days in January. There is movement in the family. Anne's sister and her family arrived today in Vienna, and they also will live in our flat. So we are going to be many dancing around Chritmastree and singing the usual Austrian and Norvegian songs. Best wishes, merry Christmas and a happy New Year Yours Anne and Gunter
