Scheduling - I

This article will introduce the techniques employed in operating systems to share CPU time among processes in order to meet system objectives, like responsiveness, throughput, I/O efficiency, etc. Among these techniques, those that most affect system performance are the ones used to share CPU time among processes in ``ready'' state.
