Photo Highlights of ICCV 2003 in Nice, France

Some photo souvenirs from Nice, France
October 11-17, 2003.

Nice was exceptionally sunny for October, and short sleeves were the rule. Old Nice was within easy walking distance from the conference center at the Acropolis, and the beach some 15-20 minutes away on foot. The Chagall Museum is free for professors and has a gleaming set of stained glass displays and lots (most?) of Chagall's celebrated paintings. One downside to walking around Old Nice near the conference center was the neck strain from avoiding organic obstacles of canine origin. But walking is the best way to explore this section of Nice!

Note: I missed some names. If you recognise some people that I have not correctly named, please email a correction to me!

Matt Toews, Margarita Osadchy, Tal Arbel, John Oliensis. Matt Toews, Stephen Benoit, Margarita Osadchy, John Oliensis. Beach to the East! Beach to the West!
Expensive outdoor seafood restaurant near shore... .. but where is the Bouillabaise? (or the flash, for that matter?) Best restaurant, next to Acropolis (Vieux Moulin?). Tony Jebara (right) and company.
Jim Clark taking photo of Jim Little, Tal Arbel and Ronen Basri watching where they step... Chagall's outdoor mosaic. Chagall's version of Noah's Ark. Stained glass at Chagall Museum.
Head inside box. Acropolis meets old(er) Nice. Matt Toew's poster presentation, Tal Arbel proud. Stephen Benoit's poster 5 minutes before stampede ;-)
