Nonlinear stochastic system identification techniques are being used in conjunction with a subsystem decomposition of the human operator to characterize rapidly the dynamics for an individual human operator in pursuit tracking tasks. The human operator dynamics will be inverted and incorporated into closed-loop teleoperation control to improve performance.
